The Lehigh Hanson Redding plant located in Redding, California, was originally commissioned in 1961 and modernized in 1980. Lehigh Hanson recently announced their collaboration with Fortera Inc., a Silicon Valley-based materials technology company to reduce greenhouse gas emissions from portland cement production. The two companies will work together to construct and operate a small commercial plant at the Redding site that will capture CO2 from the kiln exhaust and convert it into a cementitious material that will be used to produce high quality concrete. Join us on this plant tour to learn more about the Redding plant and how the Fortera ReCarbTM  Process plant will take CO2 from the kiln stack and produce a supplementary cementitious material.
